This illustration was created in response to a prompt from the wonderful Imagined Book Cover Week 2023. The concept was based on the fictional title Mr. Puddlewick Finds a Hat. I chose to work with a limited colour palette to balance the visual complexity of the scene, knowing I wanted it to be lively and richly detailed. I'm very pleased with how the final piece turned out—and the question remains: can you find the hat?
